MetaTink LLC was formed in 2021 by a group of professors from Regis University who had met for years prior to discuss ways of distilling innovative learning behaviors they had witnessed in advanced cybersecurity training and intense cyber competition environments. Key partners founded and directed a Center for Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity at Regis and established federal, state, and local partnerships for training cyber defense teams.
The ability to help all members of society efficiently learn at an accelerated rate is key to sustaining our technology-driven society and reducing the social disruption that comes from innovation. MetaTink LLC addresses things like deskilling associated with technical transformation, agility in threat response, and making accelerated career paths that rapidly span multiple technical disciplines. Metatink LLC proposes a disruptive solution to facilitate this acceleration utilizing our U.S. Patent Application No.: 63/532,253 Software Architecture for a Learning Environment.
MetaTink’s innovation is in automating rapid learning behaviors discovered while running training exercises that brought together multiple local and state governments, national guard and reserve units, infrastructure entities including FEMA, DHS, and the FBI. The key characteristics observed include rapid adaptation of the learning environment (including peers, challenge masters, etc.) to efficiently raise the capacity of participants to functionally meet new challenges. The key component that MetaTink has codified in the patent is the tracking of learner behavior that indicates information need and readiness before assessments take place. This allows for rapid adaptation along accelerated, standard, and decelerated learning paths that keep the learner at a high level of engagement.
